Back to School - minus 1

Just the 3 girls now – kinda weird only sending 3 back to school, as I’ve been sending 4 back for at least 7 years now!! (and all on the same day as all at same school)

Matt was still in bed asleep when we all left at 7:15am (he doesn’t have to be at work till 9am)

Maddie is not wearing the ‘newly introduced this year’ sunflower gold shirt as she’s ‘not into right colours’

Melanie and Kenzie were thrilled to be wearing it!

Can you believe that Maddie is almost as tall as Melanie (who is already at least 5′ 6″ herself)

Another photo (well 2 really) from dinner at Chili’s last night.

Awesome Big Sister!

Melanie (16) kisses Kenzie (10) on left
Melanie (16) kisses Maddie (11) on right

I liked the mirror effect !

Have I said I love my girls yet? !

Feeling Sad ….

…… this photo I took of Maddie [11] and Melanie [16] last week pretty much portrays the situation in a sad, haunting but beautiful photo of them both.

I'm In Her Shadow

Maddie is currently very unhappy with her life and self, she wishes she was everything BUT what she is, older, cooler, …the list goes one …. she basically wishes she was her sister 😦

If only she could see how beautiful she truly is, and that she doesn’t have to pretend to be someone she isn’t or grow up too fast ‘to fit in’

I think being a kid these days is SO much tougher than it was for me – so much peer pressure and exposure (internet, technology) to what is out there, making one want and ‘covet’ what one doesn’t have.

End of an Era Remnants

I went by the kids school today to pay the tuition for next year and when I saw this it made me a bit sad.

End of an Era Remnants

This was Matt’s parking spot at the school last year… They get to decorate and paint their concrete spot marker!

Next week all of the concrete markers will be painted over with grey in preparation for the new year of Seniors.

Yes he’s no longer a child, he’s graduated, he’s 18, he’s an adult, he’s working full-time

A new phase has begun

I still have the 3 girls at the school !!
